JavaScript is not currently enabled, but is required for full CodeSonar manual search and browse functionality.

If you are viewing this file in your hub's Web GUI, enable JavaScript in your browser: you will also need it for GUI functionality.

If you opened this file directly from disk, your browser may be directly suppressing JavaScript functionality: certain browsers perform this suppression on local files (but not files delivered by web servers) for security reasons.

If you access the manual through the hub's Web GUI, the functionality will not be suppressed because the hub is a web server.
Alternatively, your browser may allow you to explicitly disable the security setting that suppresses functionality. See the CodeSonar FAQ for more information.

GUI Reference: Analysis: Warnings Tab

The Warnings tab of an Analysis page displays information about the warnings issued by the analysis.

Several operations can be carried out on this tab:

Add notes to one or more warnings.
Change the Priority, State, Finding, or Owner of one or more warnings.

The Warnings tab is available for all analyses, regardless of the language or languages involved.

Important Note: the CodeSonar Web GUI makes extensive use of JavaScript. Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your web browser.

The Warnings tab can be reached in any of the following ways.

From Analysis:	Select the Warnings tab.
From Home or Project Search Results:	Click on a row in the project table to navigate to the Analysis page for the most recent CodeSonar analysis of the project (with the Warnings tab selected).
From Project or Analysis Search Results:	Click on a row in the analysis table to navigate to the corresponding Analysis page (with the Warnings tab selected).
From Warning Report:	Click the analysis name in the breadcrumbs. If the Warnings tab is an establishing page for a warning browse sequence, each Warning Report page that belongs to the sequence will also provide a browse sequence navigation link to that tab.

Unless otherwise noted, navigating to an Analysis page will automatically select the Warnings tab.

Contents and Usage

The Analysis: Warnings tab contains a table describing all warnings issued by the analysis.

The table has the standard pagination controls.
Click on any line in the table to navigate to the corresponding warning report page.
The ordering of warnings in the table (including any ordering you impose using table sorting commands or Visible Warnings settings) establishes a warning browse sequence.
Click the Export link located under the table to export the annotations on all warnings in the table.
The Information Window is available and will interact with any function, variable, macro, or type name in the Line Content column.

The available table columns are as follows. Columns displayed by default are marked with an asterisk (*).

Editing Warning Properties

The Warnings tab offers two mechanisms for editing the properties of one or more of the listed warnings.

A Change Multiple Warnings button is provided below the warning table: click it to access the Change Multiple Warnings functionality.
A warning's Priority, State, Finding, and Owner can be edited directly from the warning table, as described below.

Editing properties directly

To change the Priority, State, Finding, or Owner of a single warning:

Hover over the value you want to edit to pop up a menu icon.
Click the icon to display a menu of the available settings.
Select a menu item to update the setting.

Navigating From

view a warning report	To see the full report for any of the warnings in the table, click the corresponding line in the table. The Warning Report will belong to a browse sequence for which the originating Warnings tab is the establishing page.
view the files tab or procedures tab	Click the appropriate tab header.
