Delete Searches

You can delete any saved search for which you hold NAMEDSEARCH_DELETE permission.

Follow these steps to remove one or more saved searches from the hub database.

  1. Click the Delete Searches button under the table of saved searches.

The page will expand to provide more functionality, as shown below.

screenshot fragment: expansion after clicking Delete Searches

  2. Use the checkboxes to select the search or searches that you want to remove.
  3. Use the menu to select a search to use as a replacement setting for users that are using one of the deleted searches as a visibility filter setting in a current GUI session, and for users that have one of the deleted searches as a visibility default.

If such a user does not have NAMEDSEARCH_EXISTS and NAMEDSEARCH_READ permissions for the specified replacement, the all search for the relevant domain will be applied instead.

CodeSonar will not let you choose a replacement search that is itself scheduled for deletion.

  4. Click Delete Selected Searches to delete all selected searches and replace their occurrences with the selected search.

The table of current searches will be updated to remove the deleted search(es).
