This task describes the process for creating a new hub user account for yourself, if the hub has been configured to permit this. The new account will be based on the default template user.
Before proceeding, make sure you need to explicitly create a new hub user account for yourself.
You will only be able to create an account for yourself if the hub is configured so that special user Anonymous has G_CREATE_USER permission. You do not need to determine this in advance: the steps below will explain how to identify this issue.

The new account will be created.
If the new account has G_SIGN_IN and G_SIGN_IN_PASSWORD permissions (this will depend on the permissions assigned to the default template user's roles, and on whether or not you selected Enabled), you will be signed in under that account. If the new account does not have G_SIGN_IN and G_SIGN_IN_PASSWORD permissions CodeSonar will print a warning message explaining that the new user cannot sign in. |
