GUI Reference: Manage Priorities / Manage Findings / Manage States

CodeSonar provides pages for managing the lists of Priority, Finding and State values that can be applied to warnings. These pages differ only in the attribute (and therefore value list) that is being managed.



Important Note: the CodeSonar Web GUI makes extensive use of JavaScript. Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your web browser.

Note: You must be signed in as Administrator to view or edit these pages.

From Settings: click the corresponding manage link in the Analysis tab.

The following annotated screenshot shows the various parts of the Manage Priorities page. The Manage States and Manage Findings pages are extremely similar, as described below the screenshot.

Table of current values Table with
  • standard pagination controls.
  • one line for every current value in the Priority (Finding, State) set, containing the value and a checkbox.
  • a running total at the bottom showing how many values are currently selected.
Replacement for deleted values Select a value from this menu to use as a replacement Priority in warnings whose current Priority is one of the values selected for deletion (and likewise for States, Findings on the appropriate pages).

Note: CodeSonar will not let you choose a replacement value that is itself scheduled for deletion.

Delete Selected button Click to delete all selected values and replace the deleted values in warning reports with the selected value. The table of current values will be updated to remove the deleted value(s).
Text field for new value To add a new Priority value, enter your new value in this field and then click Create New Priority (and likewise for States, Findings on the appropriate pages). The table of current values will be updated to include your new value.
Create New button Click to add the new value to the list of available Priorities (States, Findings).
