Removing an Authentication Service

If the table of current services contains one or more services that you no longer wish to use with the hub, you can remove them from the Authentication Services page. Note that you do not need to remove and re-add a service whose configuration needs have changed: instead, click the table entry and use the Edit Authentication Service page to edit the configuration directly.

To remove one or more of the authentication services listed in the table:

  1. Click the Remove Services button (under the table of current services).
The table will update to show only those services that can be edited from the current hub.
  2. Select the checkboxes on the table rows for the authentication services you wish to remove.
  3. Click Remove Selected Services.

Your selected services will be removed. When removal has finished, the table of current services will update to account for the removal.

Adding A New Authentication Service

The general process for adding a new authentication service is described below. For detailed examples, see the "Task: Configure ..." links below.

  1. Scroll down to the Add Service form.
  2. Select an authentication service type from the Type menu.
The Configuration section of the Add Service form will update to contain form fields corresponding to your selected types.
If none of the available Type options are suitable, you will need to add your own as described in section Custom Hub Authentication Plug-Ins, then come back to this step.
  3. Enter a suitable name for the service in the Service Name field.
  4. Fill in the remaining fields in the Add Service form.
  5. Click Submit
