GUI: Signing Out

JavaScript is not currently enabled, but is required for full CodeSonar manual search and browse functionality.

If you are viewing this file in your hub's Web GUI, enable JavaScript in your browser: you will also need it for GUI functionality.

If you opened this file directly from disk, your browser may be directly suppressing JavaScript functionality: certain browsers perform this suppression on local files (but not files delivered by web servers) for security reasons.

If you access the manual through the hub's Web GUI, the functionality will not be suppressed because the hub is a web server.
Alternatively, your browser may allow you to explicitly disable the security setting that suppresses functionality. See the CodeSonar FAQ for more information.

GUI Reference: Signing Out

Sign out of the hub, or end an anonymous session and start a new one.

This functionality does not have a separate page, but is available in the header of all GUI pages whenever a user is signed in.

If you are signed into the account with username uname, you will see a uname link in the header of all GUI pages until you sign out. For example, a user signed in as alex would see a link like .

To sign out:

Click the uname link, then click the Sign Out link that pops up.
or
Visit the sign out URL http://hub_location/sign_out.html

CodeSonar will display a page confirming that you have signed out.

End an Anonymous Session and Start a New One

Anonymous sessions will time out after a period of inactivity (specified by the HTTP Session Timeout setting). In most cases, therefore, there is no need to explicitly end an anonymous session.

The exception is the case where your current anonymous session started at a time where there were no available licensed anonymous session slots and so has reduced functionality, but a licensed slot has since become available and you wish to claim it. In this case, you can use the "sign out" functionality to end your current anonymous session, then start a new one by navigating to another page.

To end the session:

Visit the sign out URL http://hub_location/sign_out.html
CodeSonar will display a page specifying that you have signed out.

If you then want to start a new anonymous session:

Visit a regular web GUI page, such as the home page http://hub_location/
You will now be in a new anonymous session.
