std::move() is applied to a const argument.
A const object cannot be modified, while move semantics entails invalidating (and thus modifying) the moved-from object. Even if the author is deliberately applying std::move() to a const argument with full understanding of the outcome, the resulting code can be confusing for human readers.

| Enabling | Checks for this warning class are disabled by default,
and require the unnormalized
C ASTs for the project. To enable them, add the following
WARNING_FILTER rule and RETAIN_UNNORMALIZED_C_AST specification to the project configuration file.
RETAIN_UNNORMALIZED_C_AST = Yes WARNING_FILTER += allow class="std::move Argument is const" |
#include <utility>
#include <string>
class C {};
void lang_type_moveconst(void) {
const C clocal1{};
C clocal2{};
C cmove1 = std::move(clocal1); // 'std::move Argument is const' warning issued here
C cmove2 = std::move(clocal2); // clocal2 is not const
}
The following configuration file parameters affect checks for this warning class.
