Getting Started

The following sections are designed to help you start using CodeSonar.

  1. Install CodeSonar
    If the software has not yet been installed on your system, install it now before proceeding.
  2. Set up a hub
    CodeSonar stores analysis information in a hub database, from which it can be accessed through the associated hub with an ordinary web browser.
  3. Set up a license key.
    CodeSonar hubs must be licensed.
  4. Start using CodeSonar.
    Basic Tutorial We recommend starting here. The basic tutorial provides an introduction to the fundamentals of building CodeSonar projects, running the CodeSonar analysis, and interpreting the results.
    Eclipse Plug-in Tutorial If you are an Eclipse user, you may wish to use the CodeSonar plug-in for Eclipse. Work through this tutorial to install the plug-in and learn how to use it.
    Quick Start We provide Quick Start instructions (Command Line or Windows Build Wizard) for users who want to get started as quickly as possible.
