ROSLYN.SECURITY.CA5367 : Do Not Serialize Types With Pointer Fields (C#)

See Roslyn-Detected C# Warning Classes for more information.

Summary

Pointers are not "type safe" in the sense that you cannot guarantee the correctness of the memory they point at. So, serializing types with pointer fields is dangerous, as it may allow an attacker to control the pointer.

This check corresponds to Roslyn rule CA5367. For full rule details, see the Microsoft website: CA5367.
