CodeSonar ships with library models that allow it to recognize functions such as libm atan2() that compute a two-argument arctangent. If one of these functions is called with zero in the "y" parameter position and may also have zero in the "x" parameter position, a warning will be issued.
If you have created a custom library model for some function f() in terms of one of these existing models, calls to f() will also be capable of triggering Arctangent Domain Error warnings.
#include <math.h>
double use_atan2(double ind){
double a = atan2(1,1); /* ok: second (Y) argument is not zero */
double b = atan2(1,0); /* ok: first (X) argument is not zero */
double c = atan2(0,0); /* 'Arctangent Domain Error' warning issued here */
return a+b+c;
}
The following configuration file parameters affect checks for this warning class.
