Summary

A hexadecimal literal (integer or floating point) contains lower case letters.

Warnings of this class are not triggered by lower case letters in the non-hexadecimal parts of a hexadecimal literal. In particular, they are not triggered by:

The 0x prefix.
An f, l, or u suffix, which denotes the type of the literal (though see Confusing Literal Suffix).
The p<dexp> component of a hexadecimal floating point literal.
Note that the only letter in this component is the p or P, since the exponent <dexp> is a decimal.

Checks for this warning class are disabled by default, and require the unnormalized C ASTs for the project. To enable them, add the following WARNING_FILTER rule and RETAIN_UNNORMALIZED_C_AST specification to the project configuration file.
